Good working knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology is essential for anyone involved in therapy work. The study of the structure and function of the human body provides the foundation and underpinning knowledge on which all complementary therapies are based.  Understanding the anatomical structures and how they interrelate provides the therapist with the knowledge of the intricate workings of the human body before attempting any form of treatment.

 

Course content

Introduction to the human body and the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the following systems:

Skeletal, Digestive, Muscular, Urinary, Skin, Neurological, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Reproductive and Histology.

 

Course delivery

The course consists of tutorials and assignments.  All tutorials are given with the support of presentations along with teaching aids.

Course cost

£450.  Including the exam fee.

 

Assessment

The ITEC Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology level 3 examination is a 1-hour multiple-choice theory paper comprising 50 questions.  Once qualified, students will be awarded an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology – a stepping stone to other qualifications such as Holistic Massage,  Reflexology and Aromatherapy.

A deposit of £100 payable on booking (non-returnable), balance paid 2 weeks prior to the start of the course or stage payments can be arranged.

19th February; 12th March; 2nd & 24th April; 7th & 14th May. 

Time: 9:30 am - 15:00 pm (accept the 12th March 9:30 am- 12:30 pm)
